Ignorant newbie question....

Having made the decision to augment my kit with LF, ( I currently use Nikon) I have embarked on the quest for ( most likely) a Linhof Technika IV or V. I am eyeing an outfit in Germany, and am wondering how much grief I am setting myself up for when/if I have to replace the 9X12 cm gear with 4X5.

Inquiring minds want to know...:)

None at all. The cameras and lenses are exactly the same, the only thing you need is new film holders.

Modern 9x12 cameras take modern 4x5 film holders also. So the only grief is buying 4x5 holders.

Ahhhh! Big help! Thank you very much for the quick replies. The outfit I was looking at got snatched up by another..... *sigh...* the search continues. I'm sure I'll have other questions along the way. Thanks again.
