Anyone know for what camera these backs were intended? It is multi-format via red windows and inserts for 6x4.5, 6x6, and 6x9 (85mm length). I've had it for years wondering what to do with it and finally decided to modify it for use with a Graflok back. It only took a few minutes with a Dremel using a cut off wheel to make the slots. The cut off wheels are great. I had previously modified my Speed Graphic to have forward tilt using one.

It was made by Suydam. I don't understand why you had to modify it, unless it was one of the models made to fit plate cameras. Those had a very thin lip on them, where they slid into the camera back. Suydam made these to fit many cameras. Burke & James just put their own label on it, as they did with most things they sold. I have a few of them. They work just fine. Do you have all the masks for the different formats? These are often missing.
