Hello all,

Looking for some help here.

I am putting together a very particlaur lens kit.

For reasons of image quality, image circle and particular needs I am looking for three rodenstock lenses..a grandagon 90mm F4.5 and a apo sironar s F5.6 both in 135mm and 180mm.

I have tracked down a used 90mm but cannot find one single used copy of either of the s lenses anywhere..loads of n lenses and schneiders etc but not a single s.

Are these notourisousely difficult to find on the used market and in fact am I wasting my time in trying do so meaning I should just get them new and bite the bullet on the new cost?

Thanks for any input,

Marc

KEH has a 180 Apo-Sironar-S for a reasonable price:

Thanks for that John.

What is a PRONTOR PRO 1 B WITH CENTRAL REMOTE CONTROL ?

Being in the U.K. getting anything from abroad I have to add about 28% import duty to it!!!..but that is still a better price than new in the U.K. so could be good.

http://www.skgrimes.com/prontor/index.htm

The Prontor is a Very expensive press shutter made for studio use, now discontinued. It's a bit heavier and not as convenient for field use, but perfectly adequate (I have one on my 150 Apo-Sironar-W). Maybe others who know more can add additional details.

Yes just found that info on the same site.
Seems like it is unecessarily adding both weight and cost to that lens..and I work just on location so...the search continues.
