UV Filter and B&W

Does a UV filter have any noticeable effect on a B&W print, compared to not using one? Thanks Gerry

Supposedly in reduces the effects of haze in the atmosphere.

that's only if it's one of those salmon-coloured ones, however. If it's clear - it probably won't do a whole lot more for you than the glass in your lens is already doing (well, in some cases, anyway).

The clear (color) filter will reduce haze from UV, but not vapor haze.
IIRC, just use a light yellow filter (#8) to cut the haze a little.
