I'm going to be selling my 4x5 gear now that I've made the leap to 8x10 and I needed to know if the Fujinon W 210 mm F5.6 I have will cover 8x10. If it does, then I'll keep it and only sell the other three lenses with the 4x5 gear. I have someone coming to look at the equipment tomorrow. I know I've left it really late but I only just thought about this. Any replies gratefully accepted.

If its the old single coated one with the lettering on the inside of the filter ring, it will cover.

It's generally considered that the earlier Fujinon W 210. 5.6 which takes a 58mm filter and has the lettering around the glass on the inside of the of the front of the lens will cover 8x10 with some movement

(mine is in a newer Copal 1 - not that shown here)

I think mine is the newer version. It has 67mm filter thread.

I have the newer version with 67mm filter thread and it does cover without movements but, have not had a chance to use at infinity. Could be a problem.

Mine is like Jan's: *just* covers 8x10 but there is absolutely no wiggle room at all. On the other hand, it's sharp and contrasty right out to the edge of the circle of illumination, just a brilliant lens.

I put up with the lack of movements because my most used 8x10 lens is my wonderful 420mm Fujinon L. The 210mm doesn't get used all that much and has (so far, knock on wood!) been perfectly adequate.

Just for the archives, it does cover at infinity - only just. I used it at f32. Looks like it is a very sharp and contrasty lens.
