Tonight was the opening for a show of some great work by Herman Leonard. There are quite a few fine prints on display. While he won't be at the show in the coming days, he was there for the opening. Priceless photographs of Jazz legends, made in various formats ranging from 4x5 and down, mostly available light.
The show will be up for at least a month or two, and it's just across from the new A&I Hollywood location. If you're in the area, you owe it to yourself to have a look!

Mr. Leonard really has a lot going on in his work, where subject, timing, composition and vibes come together beautifully. The prints, as one might expect, look much better than online or in a book. Great work Herman Leonard!!!
