Beautiful. Always enjoy visiting Vermont, even when it's only via someone's photography.

I've been celebrating my own community with my camera. I find it is a good exercise to find the interesting or unique in your own backyard.

Here's the gallery of images (so far, more to come): http://www.walterpcalahan.com/Cheers/Carroll%20County.html

I absolutely love the shot of the railroad crossing. The old feed store is a classic as well. Good eye, Walter.

Carrol county 15 is my fave. Nice job Walter.
Michael, I really enjoy your Fairfax Falls shot above. It reminds me of a place here in PA near the Delaware water gap.

Here's a shot of our backyard that I posted as an LF resolution demo a while back--

You've got a really BIG back yard, David. What do you use that big metal thing for? Is it a rose trellis?

Well, it's what's behind my apartment building.

Last June I decided to spend a year just photographing only within the confines of my own house and yard. So far, I've only made one escape, to the mountains on a rare foggy day. My old bike in the backyard...

Not in the back yard, but a potted plant in the dining room...

Not exactly spring, but my backyard (http://www.achromaticarts.com/big_image.php?path=nc&img_num=2) nonetheless.

Is the back porch (http://www.kenleegallery.com/html/gallery/daffodils.htm) close enough ?

150mm APO Sironar-S in reverse configuration. Not fully open, but almost.

The Visit

8X10 Deardorff with APHS lith film. The green guys were just pulling up with some brass lenses and surprised a neighbor. I told them "only at work" after that. Yep, 2nd story window looking over my back yard for 45 min. f8.

Man! That the spaceship hovered therefor 45 minutes is amazing enough. But to scare your neighbor bad enough that HE didn't move for 45 minutes is shocking. Is is alive?

I know! It's hard to make those numbers add up isn't it. What can I say. Yes, the neighbor is fine, but he doesn't talk about it much.

Even more shocking is your ability to produce a color image on ortho b/w film.

I just assumed that was the result of radiation from the spaceship.
