I just bought a used Rodenstock Sironar-N 210 lens, any idea where I can get a copy of a manual for this lens ?
In the medium format world, Hasselblad/Zeiss always says to leave shutters in the cocked position, so I need to know how this lens functions and how it should be stored.
Thanks

There is no problem for large format shutters.
Hasselblad lenses require that the shutter is tensioned in order to attach/detach the lens to the camera body.
I do not know which shutter fits your lens, it might be the Japanese Copal, or a German Compur or Prontor Professional.
Usually people let the shutter in the "off" state simply because there is no need to re-tension the shutter immediately after taking the picture.

The owner's manual you need is in fact dependant on the shutter you get. If you have any question, the community here will answer quickly.
You can have a look at those articles :

But in terms of the strenght of the main spring, you can leave it tensioned for years without trouble.
What generates wear in modern elastic steel are cycles, not static tensioning ; the fact that the steel is left tensioned or released does not generate wear.

We are the Rodenstock importer and distributor for the USA. So we have several shelves of the latest Rodenstock lenses in Copal shutter for both analog and digital.

All new lenses as shipped from the factory are uncocked with the press focus in the closed position and the aperture selector at the widest aperture and the shutter control usually at T. Occassionaly one might be set at a different shutter speed but that would be immaterial.
