I hope I don't sound too dense on this question. I have a beseler 45 MX II enlarger and purchased a lens turret on eBay. For the life of me I can't figure out how to adapt this to my enlarger. Any hints? Thanks,

pj

If the enlarger uses the newer square bellows like the MXT and 45V, look under the lens stage and there's a plate which holds the lens boards. Remove the three screws, and the holes should match those of the turret. The spring loaded screws are used to align the lens turret with the negative stage/base board.

It may not fit if the enlarger has a tapered bellows (MX II ?). If it an older model, you may need an adapter kit which replaces the bellows with a square one.

I wouldn't bother with the conversion since the turret is sloppier than the regular lens boards.

Thanks Michael. I used a lens turret when I took my photography classes and although convenient, they were, to your point, sloppier. I guess this is something to go up on eBay. Thanks again for your advice.
