I'm curious as to the range of focal lengths one can utilize on a 4x5 camera with a DaYi 6x17 back without vignetting.

Approximately 72-150mm. It may be possible to go wider, if you have a wider lens that covers the format and a camera that can put the lens very close to the film (something like a Cambo Wide), but I don't know that there is a wider lens that covers.

As you go longer, you get some vignetting, but you still will get a pretty wide image (like maybe 6x15 with a 360mm lens).

Also if you put in the 6X12 or 6X9 masks, you can use the back for a much wider range of focal lengths (about 80mm to how ever long your camera bellows extends) without vignetting. You just won't get quite as wide of a panoramic.
