i was wondering if anyone knew the size thread for a 127mm ektar, it seems small, but not sure, its no where on the lens. I have tons of rings, hoped one would fit, but they are all to big. looking forward to using some filters. thanks in advance

Kodak Ektar 127, lens fits in a Copal #1 shutter or Graphic Compur, filter size is 32mm on mine.

jj, What you need is a 38mm slip-on series 6 filter adapter. I've got these as well as some series 6 filters and series 6 shades. I've been selling my surplus to others on the forum and still have 38mm adapters as well as a number of others available for sale. Please see my next post.

I remeasure it and it is 32mm, maybe year to year changes were made. A 127 isn't necessarily a 127 apparently. A 40 or 42mm filter size would indicate a large 127, I would like to see a picture of it if possible.
Thanks, tr

It is possible that the 127mm was made available in both a Graphic (Synchro-Compur) as well as the more common Kodak Supermatic shutter. In the case of the 203mm f7.7 Ektar, the diameter of this lens is different (33mm vs. 38mm). What I would do is get hold of one of those cheap plastic see thru rulers with the mm scale or a tape measure with same and simply measure across the center of the front of the lens and see what the outside diameter is. If it's 38mm as I suspect, than you need the 38mm slip-on series 6 filter adapter. If it's something larger, let me know and I might have a slip on adapter in that size.

Graphic (Synchro-Compur)

Yes that's what mine is, it's a really nice lens. I hope you can fit filters easily and enjoy your lens.
