Bail assembly for Calumet 8x10

Has anyone ever fabricated a bail assembly for a Calumet 8x10 back? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Curt, which calumet is it, a C1? Mine has a bale on it and without it I wouldn't be able to open the back and get a holder in. Do you need any pictures?

Thanks for responding. It is the black model. I think that is the C-2. It is very difficult to pry the back open with my fingers.

See this thread, and look at the web site, for an ingenious method of making a camera back. I'm planning on something similar for my Calumet C-1.
