Sorry to bother you all again :)
The Kodak 'ground camera' I'm restoring had a mysterious piece in the huge metal carrying container.
For a while I had no idea what it was for, then someone on the forum mentioned Mr Ritter and modifying a 2D I think?
Anyway long story short, the mystery is solved. It's a DIY front swing, made of a block of wood, and a metal bolt.
Annoyingly when I dismantled the front standard and reassembled with the DIY swing, the front standard bracket sits over an inch too high, and this means the extension rail cannot fold up and lock onto the little fastener.
Could anyone please provide images of a front swing mechanism that is very thin?
I'm hoping that maybe I can get some sheet metal, and use that in place of the wood block, effectively saving any further cutting into the wood on the camera.
