There's a measure of interchangeability between camera parts of different manufacturers. For example,

Sinar and Horseman lensboards interchange.

Calumet 8x10 (not Cambo) accept Deardorff boards

Is there a different manufacturer's back that fits a Kodak 2D 8x10? Like, maybe a Deardorff, or somethin?

Thanks.

Kodak 2D. I have tried some others but they don't fit. You could refit some other one of course.

The majority of Kodak cameras are mutually exclusive.

I've bought a reducing back for my half-plate, and it looks exactly like the shape of the original back, but an inch shorter on every side. Kodak were sneaky with their dimensions.

Get the hand-saw out and start chopping some wood :)

Thanks for the information. That's what I needed to know. I'll keep my eye on EBay.
