good day,

i'm pretty sure i know the answer to this question, but figured i should verify just to be certain... Is the 35mm Velvia 100 emulsion the same as the 4x5 Velvia 100 emulsion?

i assume it's all cut from the same master rolls, but wanted to be certain from someone in the know.

thanks,

They're not cut from the same master rolls. With few exceptions, roll films are coated on acetate bases and sheet films on polyester bases. That's true for Velvia.

But the Fuji data sheet provides only one set of sensitometric data to cover both the roll and sheet film versions, so presumably they think the two are very similar in their behavior if not absolutely identical.
