Can anyone tell me about the LogEtronic MK II/R5e contact printer.
I am also interested in getting a manual. A friend would like to give me one to use for printing. If it needs repair or overhaul, where would I go ?

That's a fascinating bit of equipment. It was designed for
aerial work ( 9x9 roll film ).

If it is the model that still has tubes in it, you are probably in for
some maintence issues.

I think the MK IV was the first all solid state model.

Anyway - as you may have discovered - Logetronics is out of business.

It actually spawned two companies - Eagletronic and EPC ( Electronic
Photo Control ).

We have an EPC printer.

Eagletronics ( I think that it's spelled that way ) is probably the closest
to the old LogE. EPC varied a lot of the parts/setups.

EPC is in Alexandria, Va. their address is 3901 Wheeler Ave. zip is 22304.

Best of luck.

"Eagletronics" is in fact Egoltronics Corporation, Manassas, Va. I hope that helps.
(When I worked at The Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond Street, London in 1960 we regularly sent quarter plate photographs of X-rays to be printed on a LogEtronic printer and the radiologist frequently found shadows that were not visible to the naked eye. Magic!)
