i shot my first 4x5 today at a state park in North Ga. my current scanner will only scan 35mm but i scanned it anyway of course i got like the very bottom of the falls, i cant wait to scan the whole image, anyway i want to thank everyone for the good advice on cameras and lenses and all the other good stuff, this was shot an omega view 45d, kodak tx 320 EI 200 127mm ektar lens,1sec at f32, #25 filter tray processed. best regards

Wasn't it a huge thrill to see that very first neg?

Wait till you see a properly exposed transparency on the light box!

It's akin to seeing you very first b&w print "pop" up in the developer... darn exciting stuff! :)

That's just cruel. The image starts loading, then stops! I'd love to see the rest!

darr, its Amnilacola falls in dawson county ga, one web site said it was the highest falls east of the missisippi, another said it was the highest in ga, not sure though, probably the latter. its a few hundred feet high though. thanks for all the comments

Well, as I recall Niagara is only 165 feet, so they may be the highest fall in the east.
