I am looking to switch to quickloads after a really long weekend with a Toyo 4x5 on my back and 10 miles out. I really do not know how a quickload works physically. I have done the normal searches both on the net and the forum and have not run across it yet. Can I shoot a half box and take just those out of the box and take them to be developed?

Thanks,
Richard

Richard,

At this point all Kodak Readyload and Fuji Quickload film are individually envelope packaged single sheets of film. You can carry, expose, and process each frame separately.

Paul Butzi has some nice information about Readyloads and Quickloads:

I only use these systems. They have been very reliable and convenient. The only two downsides are limited film choices and higher cost.

Thanks, I did not know each was wrapped individually. Makes sense but I am trying something new so I don't want to make some expensive mistakes. I have been fortunate in that regard so far.

Thanks,
Richard

Hi Richard,

Originally the Kodak Readyload film was packed as 2 sheets like a regular double sheet film holder. But, Kodak stopped that practice quite a number of years ago and now only packages the sheets as a "single" in an envelope as does Fuji and Polaroid.
