I've noticed there are a lot of MCRX users on this site, so I'm hoping someone can help me with my new-to-me, baby blue MCRX 4x5 enlarger.

When I broke it down for transport, the only way I could get the lensboard off was to unscrew two retaining brakckets, one of which held a spring clip in place. Is that the only way to change lenses on this unit? I'm used to working on Omega D5's in a rental darkroom and sliding in new lensboards when needed... is there something similar on the Bes, and I missed it in the instruction manual?

Many thanks,

I have two of these enlargers. Grab hold of the lens by the barrel and push it back. This compresses a spring and allows the front of the lensboard to drop down. Extract. Magic.

Yeah, push back against the spring, drop the front, pull out.
