Thanks. They look pretty good. The reason I asked was out of unaccustomed paranoia regarding posts hear on airport inspection of film. I was considering the worst "what if," i.e. what if during hand inspection, the dolts actually opened the envelope and exposed the film. (Some may snicker at the possibility. But it's amazing how a little misplaced authority goes to one's head.) I thought having a film source at the destination couldn't hurt.

Pictureline is the only local source I know of, and only carry sheet film in 4x5, but they have a very good selection, good prices, and good people. If you get in any sort of a jam here, or need any info I can help provide, feel free to contact me as I seem to be in SLC.

i usually ship my film and cameras to my destination via GPO and pick them up when i get there. my cameras were waiting for me in zion last year!

SLC is OK for film. It is Las Vegas that gives you problems. I've had times with no problems, and others with extreme fogging, at McCarren.

BTW what part of the state are you going to hit? I'm southern and when notified I take people passing through to some great places, so long as there are no fires going on.

Actually, we're just passing through. Flying to SLC, then driving to Tetons and Yellowstone. But I do, on occasion, hit St. George on my way to Zion and points east. I don't expect problems, but one should always have a Plan B.

I have learned how to avoid excess scans when travelling to N.Z. So the idea is Planning, Planning, Planning.
