Hi,

Can someone tell me whether there is such a thing as a Wollensak Tele Raptor 10" f4.5 ?

My searching is telling me there is a f5.6 not an f4.5.

I want to find out the image circle for both lenses please and their filter thread sizes (if they have them).

Cheers,

Steve, the 1957 catalog lists all the Raptar telephotos (8", 10", 15") at f/5.6.

Steve,

I believe Chauncey is correct in that the tele-raptors are f5.6. Wollensak did make a Raptor Series II that was f4.5 in a 9.5 inch. It is not a telephoto design and will cover 6.5x8.5 inch film. I have a 162mm Raptor f4.5 that covers 4x5 with some movements.

My 10" Tele-Raptar covers 5x7, and has a 55mm filter thread.

Thanks guys.

The website is wrong then because it speaks of a tele with an f4.5.

f5.6 it is - with a 55mm thread size and an image circle of 170mm or therabouts.

Rgds.
