No, it's not a Pelican or Zero Halliburton -- but it was only $29.95! I bought this at The Container Store ( www.thecontainerstore.com ). This thirty dollar case accomodates my 4x5 outfits as well as my Rollei SL66 and accessories. If you have a ULF kit or wish to carry your camera assembled, The Container Store sells a huge plastic trunk with wheels for the same price. (Storage Locker with Wheels Black 32" x 17" x 12-1/4" h Model # 10004629).
On the subject of economy camera cases, check out www.fuertes.com . They sell waterproof Seahorse cases at very economical prices (compared with Pelican, for instance).

Oops. The second link should www.fuertecases.com . The previous one I gave you will introduce you to an obscure "actor and tenor".

Hey, that's pretty slick for the price. Is it airline carry-on legal dimension?

Yup -- The Container Store $29.99 case is airline-legal (barely). The dimensions are 21" W x 15" D x 9" H for a total of 45 inches -- which is the legal limit.

Last time I flew (which has been several years -- pre-9/11 and then some) the airport had, at the gate, a sort of go/no-go gage: a mock underseat compartment or overhead bin, into which carry-on bags had to fit, or be checked. Clearly, they weren't just concerned with "total inches" but with maximum size in all three dimensions. Of course, this was Southwest (I spent the entire, fortunately short, flight feeling like a sardine, lacking only a vegetable oil bath), their overhead bins *might* have been smaller than the norm...
Still, a sturdy-seeming case for $30 is quite a bargain these days!

I got a few cases off Amovona on Ebay. Never paid more then $10 plus shipping. The case is just deep enough to fit my 5x7. Big enough for the camera a few lenses etc. The dividers aren't exactly the best. But the only two things wrong with it is it could be a little deeper and those dividers could fit better. Oh and it's not light.
Case is the one they call "ALUMINUM PRO PHOTO VIDEO CAMERA CASE"
