Hello all... I don't suppose I can get much help with this, but I'll try anyway..

I've just been shooting tonight with Polaroid Type 52 - I wanted to check out some lighting, and my friend wanted some shots of herself.... However I'm finding that it's a bitch to scan, or potentially, I'm but a pleb with a scanner...

All the fine detail disappears and looks grainy, and areas get blown that weren't blown on the print.... I can supply my scan if need, but PLEASE, does anyone have any recommendations for scanning polaroid positives (I'm using Silverfast, by the way)...

Thanks in advance

G

Shouldn't be any different than scanning any print ... post your image please and then we can make more intelligent comments. Bottom line is that proper setting of the white and black point make the differene ... but can't tell what you did or didn't do without looking.

I have an Epson v750 and have found that using Silverfast for B&W is a waste of time. The Epson scan software in the pro mode, however, does an excellent job.
