Hi All!
I am looking for the Service Manual & Parts List for a 184. Anyone have in electronic or hard copy?

Thanks,
Geary

Try this link (http://manuelsphoto.free.fr/durstl184.pdf), or check the Jensen Optical site (http://www.jensen-optical.us/library.html)

Thanks Erik. Got the user manual earlier. Hoping to find the service manual and parts list, as well. This is an old enlarger and, although pretty well maintained, I will feel more comfortable taking care of it "according to Durst"!!

If I don't find them I will go to Jens!

Cheers,
Geary

Service manuals are almost impossible to find, but several months ago I found one for an L1840 at Stone Mills (http://www.stonemills.net/contact.html). It gave very little info on maintenance, but it did have some wiring diagrams. The L184 has no electrics, so common sense and a little lithium grease will probably work fine. But call Stone Mills (Calling on the phone worked better for me.)

Well there's the pinch. I have factory electric motors, (3), that focus, raise and lower the head and the base. Then there are the control heads for each motor. I had to rewire the control box. This had been done, at least once, prior to my acquiring the unit. They used cable of 9 16 guage wires, like a fire hose and as flexible as a lead pipe. The control cable only carries switching current and needs only 4 light gauge wires.

I am having fun, but a bit of a road map would be great!

Cheers,
Geary

Hello, I just bought a 184 with a CLS 2000 and the 2 motors, for focusing and raising the head. The Hedes (PSU of the Hemot head motor) has apparently been fried. Or at least partly, since it still hums, maybe it could be just the relays. Did anyone have some luck in finding wiring schematics for the beast ? Thanks. M

www.durst.it has some service manuals still available.
