Never owned or used one, but a recent article on Voigtlander lenses in "View Camera" rated it very highly. Single coated of course. There was one for sale recently either here or APUG that the seller was asking about 1,000 US.

I got my hands one one of these too, in a Compound shutter. I was looking losely for a portrait lens for the Crown.

Steve I'm curious about that article; Google returns preciously nothing on that particular lens, I'd love to read a bit more about it...

Should cover 4x5, nothing more. Teles don't have a wide angle of coverage. The View Camera article should give it. If I find it, I'll post.

I would think the coverage would be just about the same as the Schneider Tele-Xenar 360mm f:5.5 - just enough for 5x7".

Voigtländer made 270mm Tele-lenses for 9x12cm with a little movements, so the 360 should have more coverage than that.

270mm? The shorter version of the Telomar was 240mm and did not cover 4x5 (see http://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/showthread.php?t=17259, read to the end), official coverage was 142mm (33°) for that one. The Tele-Dynar's before WWII were 250, 290, and 320mm to my knowledge, at least the last versions. All of those covered at least 9x12cm.
As for the coverage of the 360mm Telomar, it is also 33°, or 213mm, and not more. The IC is mostly limited by vignetting of the mount, so its a sharp cutoff.

I shouldn't write things like that off the top of my head when I have no access to my literature...

Arne is correct, as always. I believe the 240 Telomar was made to just cover 9x12cm without movements, and the 360 to just cover 13x18cm.
