My one year old son dissassembled my Rodenstock 6x (aspherical loupe). I am not sure how to put it back together. On the bottom goes the main body. On top goes the focussing ring. What I am not sure about are two rings and two lens elements. Ring A is thin and almost symmetrical. Ring B is thicker and has one wide side and one narrow side. Lens C appears to be made of two groups, and is convex on one side and flat on the other. Lens D is biconvex, with one side more convex than the other. In which order and which orientation should parts A,B,C,D be assembled ?

QT,
Is this the large loupe for 6x7?
I have the big Rodenstock 6x but I'm not sure if its the same as yours.

You should send it to us.
Congratulations for you son! That was probably the start of a long photographic career..! I would give him one more!

That's the one:

you could email or phone Linos in germany to ask which way they go.

perhaps a diagram of the pieces might help.
Something on that line. Frankly, I was impressed!

umm......
That is the one I have but mine does not come apart readily. I got the eyepiece off but after that nothing would budge. I think the ring with flange goes on top, then the more convex element then the other ring then the flatter of the two lenses. (best I can tell from looking at mine while assembled) Good luck with it.
umm....
I start to have some suspicions about who is the author of the crime and who is its victim...

It's not difficult to dissassemble. One just needs to loosen the top retaining ring.
My wife reassembled it. From top to bottom: the two rings, then the two lenses (both
in the suggested order). That's the only way to have all pieces fit without rattle.

QT,
Personally, I'd be tempted to send it in to the distributors as well. :)
LOL, the hardest part of re-assembling something after disassembly (for me) is doing it without incurring any rattles or excess parts!
Yup, an engineer in the making! :)
Good luck with the re-assembly!

Tuan, you've had some hard luck with loupes in the past few months. This makes three! It sounds as if your better half came to the rescue:)
