Expiration of (dry) photochemicals

I am just starting LF photography. While getting out my old 35mm darkroom supplies, I found several packets of D76, fixer, hypo clear with expired dates. Since these havent even been mixed, would I be a fool if I tried using them?

Shouldn't be a problem as long as they haven't absorbed any moisture and solidified.

The D76 should be clear when mixed. If it is yellow or brown, don't trust it.
