Seems like it's a 4800 without the need to change between photo and matte black, but without the capability to print to roll paper:

(I'm not affiliated with Epson nor any Epson dealer, but interested in digital printing workflow)

Cheers, Remigius.

Yep

If you don't print B&W, the 4000 is better 'cause it can switch from photo to matte black too.

Is it worth getting the Colorburst RIP with the Pro model?

I'm going ot disagree with that. I did a side by side test with prints from my 4000 and my new 4800 and I get richer blacks, better shadow detail, and less gloss differential and bronzing for color prints on my 4800.
