Seitz AG (Lutsdorf, Switzerland) the specialist of panoramic cameras announces a 6x17 digital camera with fast scanning back accepting regular LF lenses.

Technical details are scarce but my understanding is that a silicon sensor, 61mm high and of a a certain width not mentioned, achieves a very fact scanning action.
Quote from the above mentioned web page :
one second for the entire 6x17 scan at full resolution!
(Ooops ! sorry ! I discover that this was already announced here !!)

My feeling is that the 2006 edition of the Photokina, instead of being simply a photo trade show where people count bankrupted companies no longer there since the last edition, will be full of technical surprises and good promises for the LF future !!
