I have heard that the Fuji is lighter, holds more film, but is less sturdy, perhaps less reliable. Any opinions? Thanks!!!

The Grafmatics have been around for 50+ years and hold 6 sheets. The Fuji are made from plastic. I have used the Grafmatics for years and love them. The Fuji holder will take 8 sheets, I think, and are lighter but thicker. I can not believe they would last nearly as long.

The QuickChange is also much harder to come by since they've gone out of production. Of course the Grafmatics are out of production as well, but they were made for many years, and there are a lot of them out there. I have 8 of them.

The Grafmatics are built like tanks. If you decide to go that route, I have several that I haven’t used since moving to 5x7. I could be persuaded to part with them for a reasonable price.

The Fuji is a holder and a cartridge. The holder is out of production since 2004. The holder is metal and well made. The cartridges are plastic and when out of the holder vulnerable to damage if pressed or bent or similar. There are plenty of warning notices with the system about handling the cartridge with care. If a cartridge should fail (no reports of that that I am aware of; have a look at the related thread (http://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/showthread.php?t=6736) below, people have been using them for years), just buy a new one as they are still being made. They are very inexpensive.

The fact that you can carry many cartridges, can switch film while shooting is a great plus. Time will tell about longevity.

I have just started a group for users of the Fuji QuickChange for users to exchange experiences, as there is very little info on the web:
