You have no idea how hard it is to find out the dimensions of a 20x24 tray. Would one of you folks who has one mind nipping into the darkroom with a tape measure?

It appears to depend on the specific brand but:
24 x 28-1/4 x 3-1/2" - Plastic
and
21 X 25 X 3" - Stainless Steel
are the two sizes I've found.

Just go to Lowes or Home Depot and get some tubs for mixing mortar---black plastic with ribbed bottoms. They come in all sizes----some as big as a child's swimming pool.

The tubs I bought from Lowe's work with 16x20s but they are a tad too small. I'd like some a couple inches bigger to make it easier to shuffle through a stack of prints in hypo or selenium.

Second that -- fast service, too. I bought half a dozen 5x7 trays and spent under $30 including shipping; now I've got the right size for my 4x5 films; they shipped the following day and arrived well within the expected transit time. And now I have enough trays to process B&W reversal, if I need/want to... :)
