I am the happy new owner of a Deardorff 8x10 and am looking for a wide lens. I've read thru many of the forums about the G-Claron 210mm f/9 and have heard nothing but good things. But, I also am seeing that the rated coverage is just 260mm. Am I reading something incorrectly or does this lens indeed cover 8x10?

Claims to coverage vary widely, usually with the manufacturer's spec being the lowest.

I must confess I haven't tried my 210 G-Claron on 8x10", but in my opinion it looks good on 18x24cm and nowhere near 24x30cm (9.5x12"). I don't have a 8x10"...

Many users will say it covers 8x10". I'm sure there are many who will say it doesn't, too!

The 210 G Claron will cover 8X10 and be sharp enough for enlargements. Movements will be very limited, about 1/2" to 3/4" at the most.
