Dear Group,

Recently I noticed two of these lenses on Ebay, and I believe that they just differ by the f-stop. One lens has f8.4 and the other has f9.4.

Would anyone, that might own either of these lenses, be able to enlighten me regarding the difference?

Just curious if they were meant for different markets, and if they are physically the same lens, or do I just need glasses?

Thank you in advance,

jim k

jim,

Well, since no one else has jumped in, it's the shutter.

Dear Steve,

Thank you...

The 9.4 lens is advertised with a Copal 3 shutter, and the 8.4 had a Copal 3 also, but the 8.4 had a Rodenstock label on the shutter.

So, the 9.4 should have a Compur shutter, unless the original owner changed the shutter, correct?

Thank you in advance,

jim k

Jim,

It would seem so.
