Esteemed Folk,

I recently acquired, for perhaps too much money, a Polaroid Model 81-01 8x10 film processor.

Looking at available films (such as the 804);

1) will this processor work?
2) what kind of film holder can I successfully use?
3) ideas on where to find such a film holder?

Thanks.

#1: Maybe. Depends on whether or not it works ;-) In case someone tells you otherwise, there was only one model processor. It did have some variations like hand crank or not and even a pull cord for portable xray processing. The machine itslef has always been the same...

#2: There are two types of holders. The 81-05 is the older model. The 81-06 is the newer. The advantage(?) to the 81-05 is that it doesn't need or use the loading tray. So if you don't have the tray, you'll save money this way by not having to buy one. It's also a bit awkward to use. The 81-06 is much easier to use, newer, but needs the loading tray...

#3: Ebay... And KEH has had a set of processor, loading tray and 81-06 holder on their site for quite a while, all sold separately.

Good luck with it. They are fanatstic to use but the film cost really hurts...

Hi Chris,

Not sure if this is the holder you're looking for but I just spotted this:

Hope it's what you need!
