Gitzo 1322

I recently bought a new old stock Gitzo 1322 at my local shop. For an aluminum legged tripod, it had features I wanted, like 4 section legs and a flat platform with no center column. When I went to research this unit, it did not exist on the Gitzo site or in the dealers current catalog. A web search brought up a few listings of this tripod as being a monopod with feet. How could two different Gitzos have the same model number?

Thanks, Tim. Strange, but that catalog page lists a G1322, and mine is different from the description shown. I think it may have been bastardized by someone before I bought it from the store. I'll never know...

i noticed it did say one leg could be converted to a monopod

somewhere in a box i have an older gitzo catalogue. if it ever surfaces i'll have a look...
