Where can one find them? I'm having a bit of trouble digging them up at present. I love his work, and would like to read what he had to say about photography, but I can't find any of his written works. Anyone know where they can be had?

Mirrors Messages Manifestations is a good book to have.

Interlibrary Loan at your local library. They should be able to get you just about everything you are looking for.

I guess I was hoping there might be an alternative source for his writings, say as PDFs through some art site, as the book noted above, which I got to look at briefly once and have lusted after since, is way out of my price range at present time.

Photographers on Photography published by Prentice Hall has a couple - [probably can be found for pennies on ABE...) and there is another in Photography: Essays *& Images by Newhall

Both these have a wide range of essays by numerous photographers
