Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that. Any time I hear of him or see any of his photos, I remember the documentary I saw and the land he and his wife, Leila Wanick Salgado reforested, planting thousands upon thousands of trees.

I've seen variations of this, but Sebastião Salgado will forever be the person I most associate with it:

"The one who plants trees, knowing that he will never sit in their shade, has at least started to understand the meaning of life."

More than two and a half million trees.... Vale Mr. Salgado and my deepest sympathies to his wife, family and friends - such a beautiful human being.
