Does anyone know if a different brand of bellows, such as a Cambo or a Sinar, could be mounted onto the front and back standards of a Toyo 810M view camera? If so, what would be the best non-Toyo brand to watch for?

Not really possible every factory has its own standards and messurements!

you'd probably be best off ordering a new set from someone like Camera Bellows in the UK

Agreed, send frames to Camera Bellows.... they are the only real game in town... or in the world... Toyo's bellows cost are very high compared to having Camera bellows make them, assuming you have the frames....

Michael

Not worth the effort even if you could adapt a bellows from one system to anther and, as Amin said, different measurements and standards.

I know someone who tried to jury-rig a bellows from a Horseman to a Sinar and he DID get it to connect... until he went out on the shoot! As soon as he was about to take his first shot, the bellows came apart (at the point where he glued (?) the bellows to the plastic piece that goes into the frame of the camera) and so did his entire day of shooting! We tried not our best not to tell him, "we told you so!"

But, (LOL) at the end of the day... we did anyway! :) Good thing he was a good natured fellow and took it all in stride since he was no small guy and could have whupped the 3 of us with his hands tied behind his back! :) Pretty funny!

So, as Tim and Biglick suggested... Camera Bellows in the UK is the way to go! :)

Cheers
