Picked up this bottle from a local store. It's an old bottle with considerably thick glass. Store's lighting was real dim, thought this bottle was brown. It almost looked black. Turns out it's actually green. Can someone let me know if this bottle will protect my silver bath from the sun's UV rays and if a cork will be a suitable cap for this bad boy? Thanks.

No, and no.
Buy an appropriate bottle (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004XR5TDE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1). Don't expect to find a suitable container that can be considered "light safe" for transporting a silver bath. Get a media bottle like the one I linked to, and transport it inside a black plastic bag, like what you get inside an 11x14 box of photo paper.
That said, as long as you're performing regular maintenance of your silver bath (filtering and the occasional sunning) then a few minutes of exposure to light as you pour the bath in and out of the bath box isn't going to have any deleterious effects.

Interresting. I spend hours making sure my silver bath gets plenty of sun, why would someone try to prevent that ?
On the other side, you should not keep the silver bath in a breakable container such as glass. I keep my silver nitrate in plastic (PU) container with a wide lid and an additional plug below the lid.
Collodion is another story, that one you definitely do not want to keep that in anything like plastic.

Andreas is right, sunning the silver bath is a regular part of its maintenance. I keep mine in a clear glass bottle. The silver nitrate solution is only light sensitive when combined with organic (containing carbon) compounds. And for that reason, don't use a cork stopper.
