Lens board rings

Hi all,

Im not sure if they have a specific name, but the rings between the lens board and the lens - is there a way to get these if they didnt come with the lens board nor the lens?

Retaining rings (screw into the back of the shutter, clamp the shutter to the board) and flanges (held to the board by screws, the shutter screws into the flange). I don't know who makes them in the EU, in the US skgrimes.com and there's one in the UK. If your lens is in a standard shutter (Compur 00, 0, 1; Copal 0, 1) a camera store local to you might have retaining rings.

The other possibility is a spacer ring, e.g. for mounting a Copal 3. Peter, what lens are you trying to mount and which type of ring in particular are you looking for?

This is for a Nikkor 450 in a Copal 3 shutter in a Cambo lens board. The rings between a Fujinon 300 in a Copal 3 for Cambo fitted, so I just use them. Clearly, it would make it easier to change lens if I had two sets of rings :-) Looking for both rings.

Be warned that there are 2 sizes of Copal 3 shutters...
Copal 3 and Copal 3S...different mounting thread diameters, so be sure to measure your shutters & specify if you order any retaining rings or flanges.

The ring that fits a Copal 3S will often fall through the hole of the lens board. A flange for a Copal 3S may fit the hole perfectly because some flanges have a ridge that is located further out from the shutter but is typically much smaller than the diameter of the flange. The outer diameter of the flange should fit within the raised ring that some lens boards have. Take a look at the pictures for https://www.ebay.com/itm/226212417797

I managed to get a flange whose outer diameter was a little too big to fit inside the raised ring on the lens board.
