Hello,
I would like some advise for lens choice for making images with direct positive paper (size like 60cmx 120cm)
landscape image from infinity to 20m for example
any advise

Covering that large a format will be challenging, but I would start by looking for long process lenses. Barrel lenses should be fine, I doubt you'll need a shutter.

I doubt you'll need a shutter.
I doubt also, especially with the slowness of the direct positive paper
I already own this lens
Rodenstock Apo-Ronar-CL 1200mm f/16 and it's coverage is 1200 x 1200 mm

I already own this lens Rodenstock Apo-Ronar-CL 1200mm f/16 and it's coverage is 1200 x 1200 mm at 1:1, half that at infinity. Are you going to shoot only close up?

I have a similar lens and would like to know what ULF camera you use.

Yes Dan, that's the problem with theses lenses the data talk about 1:1 but not infinity, but it can be calculated.
Diversey : I don't have the camera yet but maybe something like this : https://www.notizie.it/wp-content/blogs.dir/65/files/2011/09/wirtz.jpg

I would guess your Apo-Ronar would cover, but I'm not certain. Dan is right that manufacturers often rate process lenses at 1:1 as that's where they're used in the industry. But manufacturers are also very conservative about what we'd call actual useful coverage, as their specifications are so demanding that they only consider the sharpest area in the center "acceptable". It's going to be one of those "try it and see" situations.

Hi all,
for my project of UULF camera,
I'm looking to buy one of these lenses :
Berthiot Périgraphe Série VIa 800 mm 31 In. f/14,0
Berthiot Périgraphe Série VIa 650 mm 26 In. f/14,0
Berthiot Périgraphe Série VIa 600 mm 24 In. f/14,0
Berthiot Périgraphe Série VIa 500 mm 20 In. f/14,0
Berthiot Périgraphe Série VIa 450 mm 18 In. f/14,0
Wray Apo Process Lustrar serie II 1 600 mm 63 In. f/16,0
Boyer Apo-Saphir 2500mm 98 In. f/12,5
Rodenstock Apo-Ronar-CL 1 800 mm 71 In. f/16,0
Wray Apo-Lustrar 1 600 mm 63 In. f/16,0
Zeiss Protar V 632 mm 25 In. f/18,0
any information are welcome
I've measured the 1200mm f/16 Apo-Ronar-CL coverage at infinity at f/32. It is 126cm in diameter (49.6").
By the way, the 1000mm Apo-Germinar has exactly the same coverage. Being shorter in the focal length but a bit wider, it just covers the same 126cm at infinity at f/32.

I don't have the same speck for the 1200mm f/16 Apo-Ronar-CL
1200mm with 40° of angle should result of a 874mm of image circle.
and I believe that the the Apo-Germinar 1000mm has a 42-46° of angle so a 850mm of coverage.
I'm looking to focus at infinity, not 1:1
As already mentioned above, the official specs for process lenses are very conservative. That's because process work requires a lot more image quality than is sufficient for general photography. Process work needs absolutely minimal distortion; general photography does not. Process work needs absolutely minimal residual field curvature; general photography does not. Etc., etc. That's why the real process lens' coverage for general photography is always much more then the published specs suggest.

No experience in that size like 134cm in image circle, but here are the candidates.
Zeiss protar IIIa f9 690mm
Zeiss protar IIIa f9 820mm
Zeiss protar V f18 947mm
Zeiss protar VII f12.5 1000mm single cell
These lenses are super rare, of course.
As for the double anastigmat single cells, the longest that I know of are the 2100 mm (83in) halves of the 1200 mm (47in) f/15 LOMO PM-1 process lens. (https://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/showthread.php?167754)
The LOMO PM-1 was also made in 900 mm focal length; that version halves are 1575 mm.

Here is very nice thread:

Repeated many times.
You can use forum search for anything, lets say 20x24 lens for this ocassion.
Or Michael Gudzinowicz list.
Also repeated many times.
What cames in mind - not mentioned Dallmeyer Stigmatic series II No9 (triple convertible), not so rare as Zeiss series IIIa

Vaidotas, the link you posted is to an early version. It is considerably out of date. Here https://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/showthread.php?138978-Where-to-look-for-information-on-LF-(mainly)-lenses is a link to a sticky whose first post has a link to the current version, which I still maintain.
