You may be able to change the tone slightly by using a fixer like TF5 from photographers formulary. TF4 gives a lighter brown tone while TF5 is usually more neutral vs Hypo tends to be chocolate. YMMV. I also add dicromate to my silver so that may be what is being influenced.

you can also adjust the tone in dirty dish soap ... ( haven't done it yet but it's written about in Christopher James' book ... ) ..
