Great video! I have the same lens and use it at f5.6 or ~f6.3. The whole point of such a lens IMO is to let the soft focus aspects shine through. If I want a sharp picture I’ll use another lens… although as you showed it can do quite well at small apertures, although it’s not going to beat a modern lens in that regime.
I am impressed how well the “short exposures” came out given the accuracy of your shutter [emoji16]

Nice video. I used this lens extensively on 11x14 and it easily covered the format with room to spare! I had Reinhold craft a front mounted Packard #6 shutter setup which worked very well.

I made one DIY, a 250mm f/5.6 with a set of star shape apertures and a 55mm filter thread.
Also I mount a 270mm f/4 quartz glass aspherical meniscus in a barrel and made a set of the mentioned apertures but with no shutter.

My 500 mm Reinhold is very lightweight with in camera shutter
