Hello everyone, this is Wouter from the Netherlands. I’ve been shooting with 4x5 and 8x10 cameras for a while now. I’m quite satisfied with many Fomapan films, which are also cost-effective. Now I’d like to experiment with X-ray film. I’ve read a lot about it on this forum. It seems that X-ray film is relatively easy to obtain in the US, unlike in Europe. Even eBay doesn’t seem to be a viable option for Europe. Does anyone have an idea of how I can get X-ray film in Europe or the Netherlands? I’d love to hear from you!

The only recomendation I can give is patience on ebay.
There are good deals from EU sellers time by time.

how I can get X-ray film in Europe or the Netherlands?
hello from Norway. Europe too here but with the added problem of not EU...
Shops selling X-ray are typically for medical professions. I had experience with couple shops in Germany who refused to sell to individuals.
If you google something like "röntgenfilm kopen" you will probably have many results.
I know a shop in France that sells regular double-sided AGFA blue CP-BU and single sided mammographic AGFA HDR-C, in 13x18 and 18x24 for the blue and 18x24 for the HDR-C. 100 sheets box.
That's the only "wet" "old" x-ray film they offer now, as medical professions switched to dry laser film.
I am a native french speaker and I spoke with them over the phone: they DO sell to individuals, and actually the salesman told me that in fact they sell a significant amount to photo amateurs.
They don't stock these AGFA films for freshness reason, instead they forward orders to the provider ie. AGFA, so it ships from them. Means maybe still from the factory south of Antwerpen...

I like some Fuji films, but this shop doesn't sell anymore the classic ones, I have to find in my bookmarks a shop that did, maybe the one I found in Belgium, Bruxelles area I think...
Some Teutonic shop whose name I forgot sells AGFA, Fuji and something else, but they were not flexible at all...
Earlier today I was looking at Fotoimpex site (was looking for Washi), and found a label I never saw before, and.... they sell x-ray film as "speciality", they don't tell the brand and model. They also sell aerial, which means certainly AGFA Aviphot. It's a photographer from Vilnius:

Concerning xraystore. The only film of their offering that is of potential interest is:
https://www.xraystore.fr/12901-film-de-radiologie-universel-cp-gu-m.html
The other ones are either "dry laser" (very specific, not silver-based imaging) or blue-sensitive (strange rendition of landscapes and portraits) or mammographic (expensive).
I buy my films from Roentenexpress in Germany. I use only the single coated Fuji UM-MA

after the dead line on Röntgenexpress I found Xraystore.
the ordering form of Röntgenexpress possible countries for shipment. Weird, it lists Australia, but no Norway and not even Sweden nor even Danmark just there over Flensburg. Hence my mail asking about.

For anyone from the uk reading this, I can confirm neither roentgenexpress.de or xraystore.fr are willing to ship to ship to the UK, despite the latter's website allowing you to place the order to a UK address. <facepalm>

there should be shops in UK selling to individuals and not only registered medical professionals...?
on xraystore.fr, account creation requires an initial choice "Je suis un pro" / "je suis un particulier" (redirects to another site selling non-pro medical supplies), I registered as "pro" and when ordering input a dot "." in the mandatory field of company data, then in the comment field tell that it's ok as per the salesman.
just for the fun:
I just got shipped two packs of blue Agfa in 13x18:
https://i.postimg.cc/7qj7Rcwc/agfa-b-commande.jpg
there's a trick...
postage is 8,15€ and VAT 14,43€ on 78,41€ buy. It is french VAT and postage to France. I use sister's address in France and she will remail.
if I used my Swedish collection and storage service by norwegian border, shipment was 17,38€. I was not sure I could synchronize with other parcels shipped there nor with my next ride to Swedish hypermarket, that's why on this I opted for remailing by sister from France.
https://i.postimg.cc/xYx11zhy/vers-su-de.jpg
if I used my home address, Norway, shipment jumps to ... 56,27€ (!)... and at reception in Oslo postal terminal 25% norwegian VAT will be added on the whole amount ( ie. the items plus shipment price)+ a processing fee in the 20€ ... I would pay ~172€ of what 78€ is the film itself, ie. less than 50%

I moved four times in the last 20 years and every time I searched a place not more than 100kms from Swedish border. I will never move to a place like Bergen for instance.

Normal double-side xray: yes. Single sided mammo: no.
These guys were willing to ship to other EU countries a few years back:
https://shop.christiansen-linhardt.de/
You had to contact them directly with e-mail first though. And pre-pay.
