I'm getting closer to getting my Century No. 7 ready to take 5x7 and 8x10 portraits. This will be done in my living room, and not a dark studio. As such, it's be nice to keep extraneous light off of the ground glass for easy viewing, but it also can't be a pain for inserting a film holder. Any ideas? The camera is on a Agfa bi-post camera stand.

This sun shade works well on an 8x10 camera. Just attach it to the back with strips of adhesive Velcro.

Thanks, Jonathan! I've been playing around....the Sinar bino reflex viewer sure is slick, but I only have one for 4x5.

I have a couple of 4x5 Reflex Viewers, and the 8x10 Norma one as well. Uses the same Binocular Hood.

Here it is. The mirror doesn't move, like the 4x5 version. I see you have a Norma Cable Release :)

Daniel, I wish I had on of those and an 8x10 Sinar back.... I use a Sinar 4x5 back on that camera, as that allows the bino viewer.
