View Full Version : Linhof Master Technika 2000 or 3000?
I ordered a used Linhof Master Technika 3000 from KEH. The Master Technika that I received today does not have the close focusing knob and it is all black. Does this mean that they sent me a Master Technika 2000 instead of the 3000 that I ordered or did they make a version of the 3000 that did not have the close focusing knob?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
The most obvious difference between the MT2000 and MT3000 is the location of the control for the wide angle focussing mechanism inside the shell.
If the mechanism uses a small lever under the bellows inside the shell, then it's an MT2000.
If the mechanism uses a small knob on the outside of the right-hand side of the shell (as you stand behind the camera) then it's an MT3000.
However, being as these things are hand-built, there could be variants. There is a forum member who may be able to tell the model from the serial number. Search the forum for Linhof Serial Numbers.
