I have seen DD23 users write that the two solutions can be reused multiple times, but no time increase was indicated. Now that I have begun to use this technique more, for N- development, I saved my solutions last time. I am wondering what a reasonable guideline may be for reuse.

For 4x5, I use it in the 16-oz. SP-445 tank sometimes having fewer than 4 sheets to develop, so I'd be interested in any guidance on sheet or square-inch usage capacity.

My guess is that the short time in the developer solution allows far more use, which makes sense.

I would say the best you can likely do to be on the safe side is use Ilford’s capacity instructions for Perceptol as a guideline for solution A. Solution B will depend on what it is (buffering strength/alkalinity) but it isn’t necessarily the best idea to reuse it due to small amounts of solution A being carried over, which over time may or may not give solution B developing activity of its own.

Thanks, Michael. My solution B is 10% Borax.
