I did some work on the RSS feed page. I had to create a new page to avoid customizing the supplied one, so use the supplied URL to access it, not the one linked on various places the site.
The external feeds supply data in several different formats. You can try each to see what works best or is supported by your preferred reader.
For RSS v0.91 use <forum base url>/external-lf.php?type=rss (http://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/external-lf.php?type=rss)
For RSS 1.0 use <forum base url>/external-lf.php?type=rss1 (http://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/external-lf.php?type=rss1)
For RSS 2.0 use <forum base url>/external-lf.php?type=rss2 (http://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/external-lf.php?type=rss2)
For XML use <forum base url>/external-lf.php?type=xml (http://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/external-lf.php?type=xml)
To select forums to include in the feed add "$forumids=<fourumlist>". forumlist is a comma seperated (no spaces!) list of forums you want to monitor. You can use the container "forums" to include all forums under it (e.g. the "LF Forums" seperator is actually a container forum whose id=25). So "/external-lf.php?type=rss2&forumids=24,25,27,22,18" will include all forums except "New Produsts" and "The Lounge". The forumids can be found in the forum URLs--the ID is the number after the "f=" at the end of the URL.
<forum base url> = http://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum
The basic differences, aside from the versions & format, are that the RSS2 type will supply the full post text, the RSS1 will supply the first few words of the post, the others just notify that a new post has been made. All contain a link to the new post.
Let me know if you find any problems.
