I have this lens set since a couple of years but the pointer for the aperture scales were broken.
Now I made a new one of titanium tin and scewed it to the rest of the pointer.
I cleaned the shutter, a Koilos size 0
My lens set were made in the time between 1910-1920.
The set were made for the German postcard format 10x15cm which is very close to the imperial size 4x5" (10x12.7cm)
This makes it perfect for this format.
The lens has a fully cemented, four element rear group and the front cells are cemented douplets, so it is a six element lens in two groups.
It has five different focus length
125mm f/16
165mm f/6.3
205mm f/7.7
235mm f/9
270mm f/16 (rear lens element only)
All of the different lenses having its own aperture scale. The interchangeable front element are not screwed, Staeble made a specials two pin bayonett mount for it.
Very practical, safety and fast.
My set has three filters in the set, one in yellow and two amber filters.
Each lens combination and the single rear element as well covers 5x7" /13x18cm when stoped down.
The lens combinations have an angle of view of 80°
IŽam wondering, there are no samples found in the web, so my pictures are the premiere?
IŽave made one picture with each focus length, all with f/22. No camera movements, amber I filter.
Fuji xray film UM-MA, in Kodak HC 110, 1+39, rotation
Sheet film 9x12cm, Sinar Norma.
