Hello, I purchased a landscape lens for my graflex 4x5 monorail camera and was told by the sales person that I'd need a zero hole lens board. I have been unable to locate one, is there anything that would work similarly or any resources where I might possibly find this zero hole board?

Graphic View lens boards show up on Ebay occasionally.
A "zero board" refers to the size of the hole for a #0 shutter...a Copal or Compur #0.
The hole size for a Copal #0 shutter is 34.6mm.
You would need one with a hole that size, smaller, or a blank board.
Any competent machine shop should be able to mill the proper size hole.
SKGrimes can probably make you a new board to your specifications if you give them the necessary information.

Does your Graphic View use the wooden 4x4 Graphic "C" board? Or is it the metal board like the Crowns and Pacemakers?
There is (or was) a vender on eBay that made wood boards with any size hole required.
Quick service, excellent quality and quite reasonable, too.
You might also check on Grafflex.org for suppliers.

These take the older (prewar) wooden boards used on the pre- anniversary Graflex press cameras (I think it was the A or was it the C boards???)... They are common new & used, and easy to make out of basswood from the hobby store...

Thank you. It's a wooden board.

I think I know the ebay vendor you are referring to and I did order a zero board. But i've got to figure out how to connect to the wood board that holds the current lense.
Thank you.

The other point that might come up is some of the rears of Copal's/Compurs are that the extended threaded rear (that accepts the retainer hold-down ring) is sometime short and can not accept mating of shutter & ring due to wood board thickness (these shutters were designed to attach to thin metal boards)... So you may also specify if the shutter mounting area is for one of the shorter threaded shutters...

But there are some ways around this if the issue comes up...

Good luck!!!!
